Have you thought about Unitarian Universalism? They believe in all the religions. I went to a funeral at their church once, and it was amazing. It was a wonderful mish-mash.
I honestly didn't even know that existed. Thank you! Honestly, I wanted to make a cult kind of like that, so I mean I could add a bit less to mine. That's so cool though! Maybe all the good ideas of the world have been thought of by now.
You know this might actually be a step towards true world peace. It seems like a dream considering how long some of them have fought but... at the same time some are so close it seems incredible there are such clashes between them. I guess you're focusing on the Monotheistic big ones though? Cause if you get into the others... I mean just that little detail about there being just one absolute god in some of them, and MORE than one god in the others...
I always thought Shinto was kind of nice btw. Would like more religions to take on the Budhist mindset too: that you live to learn, and do good. Unfortunately it's the only one of the major religions shrinking in size... probably too little focus on marketing and procreating to expand the ranks.
I think you're absolutely right, and I am going to expand into the smaller religions. But of course I'm starting with the "Main expansion pack" of religions, and bleeding in to their subcategories. Thank you man!

I actually started reading the Bible and Quran some years ago, more to educate myself than with any real goal in mind there, but just... couldn't keep going... they're pretty heavy reading! Lots of better summarized info floating around.
I'd like to get my hands on one without ending up on some weird fucking watchlist. If you haven't noticed, the world over here's been going to shit lately. Not even talking about politics, things have been getting bad around here. I hope for the best, and that's why I think maybe the world's just missing a moral compass. Ergo, my fascination with religion.

Hmm second-hand, maybe? You're talking about the Quran I guess? :P I have no idea where we got ours but it's been in the bookshelf for some time now... along with plenty of other fascinating titles, fact and fiction and some uncertain mixtures. :)
Yeah it seems to be going that way all over. People forgetting all those lessons of old, grouping together and edging each other on with these conflicts again... the harsher times the stronger sense of belonging with each group too, and so the harder the clashes.
Maybe I can borrow one at the local library.
Also Ergo's an awesome word! :D Watched Ergo Proxy back in the day and started using it all over after that, but then... for some reason I stopped. :/ Ergo my vocabulary lost that special existentialist spark this one word seemed to ignite! Now that I found it again I'ma bring it back a bit. Ergo I'll end like this. It's good to practice, ergo one more time.

Library card to borrow the Quran hmmmmmm... you know if there really is a big brother thing going on over there I'd go second hand. :P As for Ergo Proxy: it was pretty good, but maybe only recommended if you're heavy into anime already. Otherwise could drop some better titles here.

i honestly don't think that is weird. i had a class in school what teached you some basic things you should know as well as some history about the religions. i love from a youngh ages gods. i loved greek gods when i was younger but right now i really enjoy hearing about the Norse mythology. dont think its weird but still i am glad you found something you want to know about. subjects like that are always very intressting.
